Council Motion About Metrolinx!

Our group has been working hard to improve the unbearable traffic conditions in the neighbourhood. With the help of our recent petition, signed by 1300 residents and stakeholders, we have been able to generate significant attention and momentum.

Over the past three weeks, we have had ongoing conversations with MPP Robin Martin, City of Toronto Transportation Staff, Metrolinx/Crosslinx and our Councillors. On Monday, we will be able to share some good news from two recent and very productive meetings with Metrolinx/Crosslinx, outlining meaningful developments and specific relief measures slated for Cedarvale and Upper Village.

In the meantime, we would like to share with area residents that our councillors, Mike Colle and Josh Matlow have been working to draw attention to ongoing delays and the absence of transparency and accountability on the Eglinton-Crosstown at the highest levels of management and oversight. Ward 8 Councillor Mike Colle is moving the following motion at council on December 12th. It will be seconded by Ward 12 Councillor Josh Matlow. Note that our neighbourhood is identified as an important area of focus within the motion.
